Therma Roll
The Therma-roll Insulated shutter range has a choice of 3 profile sizes 42mm, 52mm and 77mm. All of the Therma-roll profiles are Aluminium double skin profiles, with cfc free insulated core sections, designed to give acoustic and thermal benefits. Therma-roll also has a choice of operating systems and control options to match all requirements.
All Therma roll shutters are supplied with a full casing as standard. A choice of shape is available, with the conventional angular head plate or the curved head plate and housing box. In conjunction with curved guide cover this can make any application more aesthetically pleasing. Therma roll is ideal for domestic applications as well as the more traditional commercial uses where acoustic and thermal insulation are desirable.
Profile Overview
Therma Roll 42
42mm profile sections are designed to interlock to give maximum insulation and acoustic properties, with a thickness of 5mm across the profile the Therma-roll 42 is ideally suited for domestic and cabinet applications. Small profiles have improved rolling characteristics allowing smaller head space requirement, the 42mm profile only requires as little as 150mm housing box.
Therma Roll 52
The 52mm profile has an extensive range of colour options available. With increased acoustic and thermal properties, combined with weight efficiency, the Therma-roll 52 profile is ideal for larger manually operated cabinet or domestic shutters. Available in simulated woodgrain finishes the Therma-roll 52 allows the perfect blending with simulated woodgrain window and door systems.
Therma Roll 77
Therma-roll 77 profile is the ultimate in acoustic and thermal partitioning. With spans of up to 5.4 metres achievable, room partitioning can be easily undertaken. All Therma-roll 77 shutters are available with a complete housing box with all parts being powder coated as standard. With a full choice of colours and operating styles Therma-roll 77 offers outstanding flexibility to match any application.
Operating Systems
Electric
Using Somfy tubular motors Therma-roll can be power driven with ease, with the choice of manual over-ride options for doorway shutters and non over-ride options for window shutters. A range of Somfy motors utilising electronic limits are available to match all applications where hard wiring visibility is an issue.
Manual Counterbalance
Utilising specially designed spring systems to compensate the weight of the Therma-roll profiles, manual operation is made light and easy. All manual shutters are supplied with a base rail security lock system.
Gearbox
When manual operation is required from the internal elevation of the building a gearbox system can offer a perfect solution, allowing the shutter to be raised using a crank handle.
Tape winder box operation is also available on the Therma-roll 40mm and 52mm profile shutters. Allowing easy operation from the internal elevation of the building.
Control options
When used in conjunction with the powered operation a selection of control options are available for all profiles within the secure-roll range of shutters.
- Keyswitch - Externally mounted security switch supplied with two keys, flush fitting or surface options
- Standard Dial Switch - Internally mounted wall switch controlling a single shutter, flush fitting or surface mounted
- Wireless Remote Systems - Allowing the control of groups of window shutters via one remote switch.
- Remote Control Systems - Used in conjunction with a safety device the remote system can be used on any application.
- Specialist Group Controls - Specialist control systems to manage a full building can be designed to allow shutters covering fire exits to be opened on activation of a fire alarm system. Individual room controls including light integration systems can also be catered for.
